Community Based Supports

Community Based Supports are services that provide direct support and assistance for participants, with or without the caregiver present, in or out of the participant's residence, to achieve and/or maintain the outcomes of increased independence, productivity, enhanced family functioning, and inclusion in the community, as outlined in his/her Service Plan.

Community Based Supports are delivered one-on-one with a participant and may include: assistance with community-based activities and assistance to, as well as training and supervision of, individuals as they learn and perform the various tasks that are included in basic self-care, social skills, and activities of daily living.

Through Community Based Supports, our compassionate and skilled Direct Support Professionals are dedicated to ensuring the individual's success. From assistance with their daily living activities to community engagement, we're here to support and empower them every step of the way. Our services are designed to help the individuals actively participate in social events, educational opportunities, and recreational activities, promoting a sense of belonging.

Parent Hire

We understand that the caregiving journey of a loved one with an intellectual or developmental disability could be a challenging one and some parents prefer to provide the service themselves instead of hiring a Direct Support Professional. At Total Independent Community Inclusion NJ we streamline the process of hiring parents and/or live-in caregivers at the highest pay rate in the market.

Schedule Accommodations

At Total Independent Community Inclusion NJ we will make every effort to coordinate and accommodate the caregiving staff for the expected service schedule or accommodations for last minute schedule changes.

Experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)

Our dedicated and caring Direct Support Professionals are experienced serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our staff is committed to providing guidance and assistance in the individual's daily activities, personal hygiene, personal development, and community engagement.

Carefully Vetted Staff

All Direct Support Staff providing Community Based Supports is carefully vetted. Staff gets a set of complete State and Federal Criminal Background checks as well as Central Registry checks to verify any offenses against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.

Trained Direct Support Professionals

All of Total Independent Community Inclusion NJ staff must comply with DDD mandated staff training & professional development including CPR as well as agency required trainings.
